Assignment

In this activity, you will freehand sketch a logo of your own design. 

Step 1: Research what are the design characteristics of a good logo. 

Step : 2 Choose something that interests you such as a car, a sports team, a food item, clothing, etc... On a single piece of paper freehand sketch 6 different logos for that item using colored pencils.

Step 3:  From those 6, pick 1 you really like and make a larger version on a single sheet of paper per logo. 

On the back of your final drawing write a brief description of the item and how your logo fits that item.  

Example: My logo is for a shoe - It is a picture of a famous basketball player.  The logo fits the basketball shoe business since people can relate to the famous basketball player.  Consumers will want to be like that famous player by wearing his brand of shoes.  I chose simple colors so that variety could be added to different styles of shoes.

Put your name on them and hand it in.

Grading:

6 original Drawings

• 1pt for  drawing
• 1pt for coloring of drawing
• 1 pt your name on paper

• 1 pt for each larger drawing
• 1 pts for coloring of each large drawing
• 2 pts for each description of large logos
• 2 pts for your name on each sheet of paper turned in

Total Points: 30
