Now that you have some background:

You will use the skills we have discussed in Illustrator to create at least three versions of a monogram for yourself.

Step 1: Start by sketching 6 concept sketches.

Step 2: Use tutorials on Monograms and Logos to give you design ideas.

You need to show a new skills.  Find a Youtube video or short that give you a different tool that enables you to create a unique and original monogram.

(If you don't like the suggested tutorials, find your own or look up logo design techniques to incorporate into your project.  I like Dansky's tutorials on monograms and logos.)        

Assignment                        

Each monogram you create will be worth up to 10 points, one point for demonstrating each of the following skills:

• Create and edit Type
• Convert Type to Outlines
• Manipulate the size, shape, and color of the outlines
• Add other basic geometric shapes

Step 3: Insert your sketches and Monograms and youtube link into your Portfolio. 

Step 4: Reflect on the project.

Step 5: The file(s) should be saved in pdf format and uploaded to Moodle
