Submittal for Illustrator Skill Builder 

What to Submit?

Step 1: Please upload your completed Illustrator Tutorial projects here. Save them as pdf files  and name them with the following naming convention:

First Initial, Last Name, Project name (bunny, octopus, owl, etc.)
E.G. nnoltebunny.pdf

Step 2: Next Export the Illustrator file as a .png file.   You will use this file on your Adobe Express page.

Step 3: Create an entry in Adobe Express about this project.  Insert the picture of your artwork and then write a reflection on the process.   Use the prompts below to guide your reflection.

Step 4: Submit the link to your Adobe Express Page in the Notes section of the assignment Submittal.   See the video for more help.

Reflection Prompts:

  • Which Illustrator tools (pen tool, shape tool, direct selection, pathfinder, effects) did you find most challenging to use, and how did you improve your skills with them?

  • How did following the tutorial help you understand the difference between raster and vector images in digital artwork?

  • Which elements of design (line, shape, color, texture, space, etc.) stood out the most in your completed artwork, and why?

  • What was the most rewarding or surprising part of the process as you recreated the artwork using Illustrator?

  • How did using the principles of design (balance, contrast, alignment, etc.) improve the overall look and effectiveness of your final piece?

  • If you could change or add one element to personalize your recreated artwork, what would it be and why?
