What to Submit?


ASSIGNMENT CHECKLIST - Minimal Movie Posters

    • Brainstorm of movies uploaded to Adobe Express (can be included on your sketches)
    • Picture of sketches (2 sets of multiple objects) Uploaded to Adobe Express

    • 2 Minimal Posters (saved as .png)  uploaded to Adobe Express
    •  Post your reflection in your portfolio on what you learned, what was difficult, and what was easy.   
    • Updated link to Portfolio Page inserted into comments on Moodle
    • Submit a pdf of your artwork to Moodle.

Assignment Checklist - 4 Icon Challenge

  • Brainstorm of movies uploaded to Adobe Express (can be included on your sketches)
  • Picture of sketches (3 sets) Uploaded to Adobe Express
  • Illustrator 4 Icon challenge (saved as .png)  uploaded to Adobe Express
  •  Post your reflection in your portfolio on what you learned, what was difficult, and what was easy.   
  • Updated link to Portfolio Page inserted into comments on Moodle
  • Submit a pdf of your artwork to Moodle.

Reflection Prompts:

  • How did you simplify complex movie themes or stories into minimalistic visuals while still making them recognizable?

  • Which principles of design (contrast, repetition, alignment, proximity) were most important in your design, and how did you use them effectively?

  • What was the biggest challenge in reducing a movie’s essence into just a few key elements, and how did you solve it?

  • For the 4-icon challenge, how did you decide which four moments were the most essential to telling the story?

  • How did your choice of color, typography, or icon design contribute to the overall mood and clarity of your poster or icons?

  • If you could refine or improve one element of your design, what would it be and why?
